The BCC Holding Area Irrigation Boom is engineered to meet the precise water application needs of containerised forest nurseries, ensuring optimal plant growth and uniform development. With the surface area of each tray cell being small, the quality of water distribution becomes even more critical. Moreover, the limited moisture reserves in small containers can result in rapid moisture stress. Hence, BCC's solution is designed to be modular, allowing flexibility and customization according to specific growing requirements. The Holding Area Booms come in various dimensions: a standard length of 120 meters with a maximum width of 38 meters, options with hose cars extending up to 180 meters in length, and Combi Booms offering effective lengths of 105 meters. Operating on a 230V, 50Hz power supply and consuming about 0.5kW of power, the system maintains a water supply pressure of 5-6 bar and operates with a variable speed of 0-10 meters per minute. This comprehensive system ensures reliable and versatile water delivery for small container nurseries.

To ensure optimum growth and even development of plants, it is essential that each individual plant receives the correct amount of water throughout its propagation period. Since the surface area of each tray cell is relatively small, the quality of application is even more vital. Further to this, the limited volume of moisture reserves in small containers also means that critical moisture stresses can develop quickly. The BCC Holding Area Booms fulfil the water application requirements for containerised forest nurseries while guaranteeing flexible and reliable functioning.

The design is based on a modular concept. Features can be adjusted and added according to growing requirements.
