BeWa - Irrigation Gully
BeWa® is the new irrigation gully made by Funke Kunststoffe GmbH for the passive irrigation of tree pits. The Funke BeWa® enables the use of surface water for the irrigation of trees. The special design allows switching between summer and winter operation. In summer operation the water is drained to the tree pit. In case of heavy rain fall events, excessive water is drained into the sewer system. The winter operation enables all surface water to be drained into the sewer system. This protects the tree from water that is polluted with de-icing road salt. Therefore, the connection to the tree can be blocked with a guiding element in winter operation. Switching between summer and winter mode is done by simply rotating the guiding element by 180°. For this purpose, the guiding element is repositioned using a hook and eye system.

Special features:
- Guide element for setting summer and winter operation (de-icing salt)
- Cast Iron cover slab adjustable in transverse and longitudinal direction: the longitudinal slope can be adjusted in 1.5% steps up to 12%, the transverse slope is 2.5% and can be increased in steps up to 6% with compensation rings
- No damage-prone mortar joint required
- Load is transferred via the plastic base (no concrete surrounding required)
- Fine adjustment of height and slope using fiber-reinforced compensation rings
