Parallel Link
- Each harrow section is suspended from support arms by four pivoting parallel link arms. Each section has a 24" vertical range of motion while remaining parallel to the contours of your field. Brandt Heavy Harrows can handle high ground and depression at the same time while maintaining equal pressure across all tine sections. This system makes for less tine wear and overall better harrowing.
Continuous & Even Contact of Tines to Ground
- Thanks to the Contour Commander`s u-joint design it is able to handle any terrain. The sections are able to contour over hilltops and into steep hollows, consistently maintaining even tine-to-soil contact throughout.
Solid Pull
- Replacing the traditional cable tow system, Brandt`s solid pull system eliminates cable snapback when cornering and adds the ability to raise the sections and reverse when faced with tight areas. This allows you to work areas that otherwise wouldn`t be possible.
Tine Angle Adjust
- With the ability to make adjustments to tine angle from the tractor cab, the Contour Commander makes it easy to achieve optimal results every time. Brandt`s hydraulic tine adjust feature is part of a unique system that allows you to go from a 45° to 90° tine angle on the fly.
Tine Options
- 9/16” x 26” tines are available in standard steel tines, or the longer lasting Chromium tines
- Upgrade to heavier tines for more aggressive tillage use. The 5/8” x 28” tines are available in standard steel, or the new wear-resistant Carbide Tip. The optional Carbide Tip tines, with significantly higher wear resistance properties, have a 2.5” long Carbide tip (25% more than our competition, which uses a 2” tip) with a shape that comes to a point (rather than a blunt surface), which cuts through the straw more effectively.
