Bauder - Model EXTENSIVE-SB -British Grown Sedum Blanket
Bauder SB sedum blanket uses the same high-quality species mix as was used in our XF 301 sedum blanket. The sedum species in the blanket are selected especially to thrive in the demanding environment of green roofs. The mix gives a range of both sun-loving and shade-tolerant species so that the best species suited for each particular location and roof orientation will become prominent and surpass those that find the conditions less favourable. Typically this mix includes 10-14 sedum species with some Saxifraga for early spring flowering to support pollinators. The system requires depths of substrate from 80-120 mm.
BauderEXTENSIVE SEDUMsubstrate achieves a CCPI mark which recognises that any claims made about it have been independently assessed across 11 clauses, providing greater clarity by offering improved product information. This gives specifiers confidence in the knowledge that they will have unambiguous information when deciding which of our systems is best for their new build or refurbishment project.
A pre-cultivated vegetation sedum blanket provides dense foliage for an instant green roof on a layer of substrate. Primarily specified on new build projects though the system can also be retrofitted on existing buildings with the approval of a structural engineer. When retrofitting it is generally incorporated when the waterproofing system is being refurbished.
