Destoners are cleaning machines designed to separate grains and stones of equivalent size. When used in a “very fine cleaning” application, a destoner is installed after the cleaner, which removes large and small waste.

SJC destoner operations are based on the principle of density differences. The work table is connected to an exhaust unit that holds the grains in suspension above the metallic mesh. Gravity pulls the grains down to the exit gulley, while stones, which are higher in density and thus remain on the mesh, are jolted back up thanks to the alternating motion of the casing.
