Containing a very high percentage of calcium, CALCIO BASE is essentialin the process of neutralization of the organic acids. Acting on themetabolism, it controls the colloidal state in the protoplasm. Incontrast with potassium, it regulates the processes of transpirationand water balance, it encourages the concentration of the plasma andreduces the absorption of water. CALCIO BASE is essential for the cells division; it is a constituent ofan enzyme, the maltase. It is relevant for the growth of the meristemsand it is required by the plants in huge quantities during theformation of the pollen. Its lack reduces the growth of meristems, a delay in the development ofthe young leaves, that appear deformed and chlorotic and then theynecrotize on the edges.
