Logset - Model 12F GT -Forestry Forwarder
The 12F GT , nicknamed " Silverback " is the biggest forwarder which completes the GT forwarder family. The forwarder has a new, more powerful 300 hp engine that meets the emission requirements of Tier IV (4). The engine, the 28.5`` tyresand the amplified tractive force of 250 kN make the machine robust and strong to carry up to 20t of timber in extremely steep terrain. The strongest crane on the market, Mesera 142, lifts even the heaviest loads efficiently and precisely to the large heavy-duty load bay, scoring an excellent overall performance for the machine.
The 12F GT has been developed to carry huge timber volumes in extreme conditions, and make the " Silverback " an ideal machine for market areas such as in some places in Europe, Russia, North America, Latin America and Australia.
The revolutionary 12F GT is fully equipped with new user-friendly features and breakthrough technology. It offers customers the potential to increase productivity and have the maximum safety in all demanding conditions. DeX is a new patented system that combines protection and performance in the most challenging terrain. The protective deceleration assistant controls the machine hydraulically in situations requiring higher engine braking moment, for example when driving in steep conditions. The protective deceleration assistant does not only improve the safety and comfort of the operator, but also protects the engine from overspeed moment. DeX contributes to minimized wear and tear of the engine especially when working in extreme conditions and so increases the lifetime of the engine and transmission components.
