Holaras - Silage Spreaders
We make your work as appealing and as easy as possible. The silage spreaders process large quantities of grass silage intensively and evenly in a single pass. Three robust gearboxes drive both rotors. The Jumbo Silage Spreader can be hydraulically swivelled to the left and right. This is not possible with the other models, which have a heavier frame and are prepared for grass fork or spreader roller. The silage spreaders are supplied as standard with Walterscheid wide-angle PTO. The Viking has a double wide-angle PTO as standard. The Jumbo-KS is supplied with an adapter plate and with electric/hydraulic control.
Ensilaging is a method of storing grass, maize and beets in a vacuum, so that they can be fed to livestock in the winter. Driving machines firmly into the pit forces the oxygen out, which prevents mould and fermentation.
Grass and maize silage has to be perfectly compacted in order to be properly stored. Good silaging is important for palatability, and to make sure roughage is used as effectively as possible.
Key to this is spreading and compacting the entire silage.
