PLT - Machine-vision Detection System

Under the auspices of a grant from ICASA and in partnership with leading livestock producers and researchers, Precision Livestock Technologies is leveraging its machine vision platform to improve livestock managers’ ability to identify and treat sick animals in a timely manner to reduce the unnecessary use of antibiotics. Of particular concern is bovine respiratory disease (BRD), the major cause of morbidity and mortality in feedlots that results in over 40% of lightweight calves being treated with antibiotics.
