MinimortEnsiler Machine

SHARE

The Minimort is the smallest in our range of machines designed to turn dead fish into neutral odour silage. The Minimort has a 300 litre stainless steel tank and shaft-driven cutter powered by a 2kW three phase motor. A contactor with built-in motor protection overload is mounted on a bracket on the top. The ensiler is designed to sit either on a small pallet or a sturdy stand.

The fish hatch is large enough to take a bucket of morts without risk of spillage and has an interlocking switch attached to the hinge pin, so that when the hatch lid is in the open position, the motor is isolated from the electrical supply and will not run.

A simple hand-operated diaphragm pump is mounted on the side of the tank to dispense formic acid. Each stroke of the handle dispenses 500ml of acid, giving accurate control of the pH. Each new machine comes with full instructions and an acid dosing table to make sure you dispense the correct amount each time you add morts.

Emptying the unit is easy. Put the Minimort onto a stout wooden stand so that a disposal vessel will fit under the 2” outlet valve and discharge by gravity. Alternatively we can offer a simple hand-operated diaphragm discharge pump to empty the contents.
