SERRA - Model XT 135 -Mobile Saw
A mobile high-performance sawmill with an extremely robust design. What is the point of having a lightweight mobile saw when it is eventually towed by a heavy tractor or a truck? Our SL and SE models are in the same size class in terms of their maximum log dimensions, but they are optimised for transport by regular vehicles with a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes. Not so with the XT: The weight is not a consideration in this case, and in terms of design this unit is based on the heavy stationary XE models with an extremely robust build.

The base frame
Massive 20-millimetre thick steel struts connect two 300 millimetre high I-beams and form the torsion-free foundation for extremely heavy logs. Naturally, these are hot-dip galvanized in order to ensure a long service life and retain your sawmill’s value. Stainless steel supports prevent blue staining of acidic wood species (e.g. oak and larch). The power hydraulics can easily move heavy logs into position. This allows you to quickly and easily load, rotate, shift and clamp the log. On request, the base frame can be extended to a 10-m cutting length with a hydraulically foldable extension. Other frame extensions are available.
The saw head
A powerful professional saw head with variable saw tensioning, slanted saw head and all available extras. The blade tensioning is offset upwards by 50 cm, leaving enough space to access the cuttings above the saw blade. The clamping distance of 300 mm also allows the use of shorter saw blades for smaller log diameters. Convenient access to the saw blade by means of hydraulic lid opening. Roll diameter of 80 cm. Saw blade width 120 or 140 mm. High cutting precision.
The operator´s station
In addition to the standard solution (similar to the Montana), we are offering various optional control solutions for better comfort. The compact “V-Cockpit Maxi” can be equipped with a maximum of four control units in order to be able to position all possible equipment variants for easy access. The large mobile cab with foldable roof protects the operator from the sun and rain, and it can even be locked. Optional height-adjustable comfort cab.
