Harvest - Plastic Section Sieve
The Harvest Plastic Louvered Chaffer and Sieve is designed to be stronger, lighter, last longer, and perform better than the competition. The plastic louvers have a specially designed cupped tail which directs the air more vertical, even when closed. More vertical air gives you better lift. The cupped tail also distributes the air across the sieve to eliminate dead spots. The louver is designed to allow the sieve to be set wider open. Combine performance improves and the amount of clean grain in the return is reduced, thus cutting down on cracked grain.
Up to 40% lighter than OEM equals less wear and tear on drive components. But despite their light weight, are built to last significantly longer than OEM. The louvers will deflect and return to shape compared to metal ones that will bend and remain deformed.

While the slats and connectors are incredibly tough, in the event damage occurs, replacement is quick and easy and will restore the damaged area to new condition in no time.
After years of development and extensive testing, in 1996 Harvest began marketing Harvest Plastic Adjustable Top and Bottom sieves. The light and durable design of the adjustable plastic louvered top and bottom sieves improve combine performance and increase the life of the sieves and shoe. They are designed to outlast and outperform the original top chaffer and bottom sieve by 2 to 1. The strong, light design won’t bend and break with the shaking of the shoe. It’s tough enough to handle the shoe in all makes and models of combines. The strength of the design means that your louvers won’t need to be straightened or lose their shape.
Longer lasting: The plastic louver is flexible. Rather than bend and twist as original metal louvers do, they will return to their original shape. The plastic louvers also have a large plastic bearing surface that is three times the diameter of the wires used on the original metal louver. As a result, there is significantly less wear. If one of the plastic louvers should be damaged, they are individually replaceable.
