EversModel Breton - Pre-Cultivator- Subsoiler

SHARE

To enable you to carry out deep and shallow cultivation in one pass, Evers offers various solutions by means of pre-cultivators and pre-subsoilers. The pre-cultivator can be used as a separate, front mounted implement or behind the tractor. It is also possible to save passes, by combining the pre-cultivator, for instance, with a Vario-Disc harrow. The pre-cultivator is developed for deeper tillage and combining passes with heavier implements. A disc harrow is a machine that only works the surface to a depth of around 12 cm. By using it in combination with a pre-cultivator, deeper cultivation can be carried out at the same time, without the need for a completely different machine.

Pre-cultivators and pre-subsoilers

Evers offers a pre-cultivator and two types of pre-subsoilers:

  • The Breton pre-cultivator is characterized by the positioning of all tines in a single line. This allows for an extremely short mounting length of 60 centimetres. The mechanical linkage combines well with a disc harrow. A mountable three-point makes the Breton also usable in the front linkage
  • Like the Breton, the Breton XL pre-subsoiler is characterized by the positioning of all tines in a single line and a short mounting length of 60 cm. The hydraulic linkage makes the Breton XL suitable for deeper tillage up to 60 cm and heavier (PTO-driven) implements. By turning lift arms, both cat.2 and cat.3 implements can be coupled. The tines are attached to mountable tine brackets
  • The Holsteiner pre-subsoiler is characterized by the positioning of the tines in a w-shape. Without changing the tine spacing, the extra space between the tines makes the Holsteiner extremely suitable for heavier soils. The extra space for movement reduces tractive power. The mounting length of the Holsteiner is 80 cm. The machine is fitted with a PTO passage and mechanical linkage as standard. Hydraulic linkage is available as an option

Two operations in one pass

With a pre-cultivator or pre-subsoiler it is possible both to break up tramlines and to carry out additional shallow surface cultivation. In combination with other machines, it is possible to prepare the field for sowing in just one pass.

Because of its short and compact design, you end up with a favourable mounting length for combining passes. For attaching the Evers Vario-Disc or another machine, the Breton (XL) and Holsteiner have a three-point linkage with coupling hooks at the rear. The unique design of the hitch makes it possible to continuously adjust the working depth of the cultivator, even on the move. This does not affect the depth setting of the combined machine. Because of its compact design, the pre-cultivator requires relatively little additional tractor and lifting power. A combination with a PTO-driven machine is possible for the Breton XL and Holsteiner.

Various types of cultivator tines

The Evers pre-cultivators are available in various models:

  • with K-tine
  • with KG tine: This tine is specially designed for heavy soils with the blade-shaped wear parts ensuring that the machine pulls lightly and preventing coarse chunks of soil from being brought up.
  • with the straight MT tine that loosens the soil without mixing the soil layers.

All the tines are equipped with high-quality, easily replaceable wear parts. The tines are made of high-grade steel as standard; tine bodies made entirely from Hardox, a wear- and bend-resistant material for the toughest conditions, are also available as an option. For use in heavy and stony conditions, the pre-cultivator is available with hydraulic stone protection.
