SeedMaster’s revolutionary Ultra SR is the first single rank precision seeding tool on the market. This advanced, fully integrated seeding system combines the best in SeedMaster technology: their proven, dual-knife opener and UltraPro ll metering. At 60 feet wide with 735 bushels of total capacity, the Ultra SR increases maneuverability and contours to the land to ensure precise seed and fertilizer placement.
The single rank toolbar is made possible with SeedMaster’s innovative Residue Management System. The system uses rotating spoked wheels to clear residue to the side to allow the openers to move through heavy trash. Tough rubber sections interconnect the spoked wheels and provide the 60 foot single rank with 5 sections of residue wheels.
The SeedMaster Research Farm conducted a five-year replicated study comparing yields using a SeedMaster Toolbar with both 10 and 15-inch row spacing. Conditions for this study were set as equally as possible, including the day of seeding, drill speed, seed and fertilizer rates, packing pressure, in-crop treatments, and the day the field was harvested. Data concluded that there was no impactful difference between the yields of both 10 and 15-inch spacing. Because the results were nearly the same, 15-inch row spacing has the advantage due to the lower quantity of openers required. This means the farmer can save on maintenance costs, draft requirements, and additional operational costs.
