A-One`s Piglet Research Facility

Based in Yorkshire on a commercial unit, this facility has the capability to perform multi-factorial feed trials that are adaptable to suit many kinds of indoor farm environments. Because it is on a commercial unit it uses the same genetics that are used throughout the industry and the piglets are exposed to the same environmental stressors that would occur on commercial units making the results we obtain hihgly applicable to many commercial farms.

The facility allows us to accurately calculate growth rate and FCR of the piglets immediately post weaning, at this crucial time of changeover that heavily influences their days to slaughter. Because this is our own research facility we can frequently run feed trials, meaning any advances we have are rapidly incorporated into our diet formulations, guaranteeing the best for your herd.
