The tree shear that is installed on the tractor should be light enough, but still powerful as a tool. It is often asked whether the tree shear can be used to prune trees - And yes, with the Moipu energy tree shear you can also prune! Thanks to the blades on the load jaws and tilt, it is possible to prune trees vertically.
Working with knives cut is quick and carefree, and working time is not wasted on changing the saw bar or chain. The cutting blades can withstand approximately 1000 operating hours even in the most challenging conditions. For maintenance, it is enough to sharpen the blades. Replacing the blades at the end of their service life is very easy and quick thanks to the bolted fastening.
The most important feature required from a tractor is that the tractor is large enough and the crane capacity is sufficient to lift the weight of the shear and the cut tree so that the combination remains stable even with the boom extended to its extreme position. The bigger, the more stable the tractor is, which is why we recommend our tree shears for use on medium-sized and large tractors.
The installation of the EFI grapple (electric free installation) is very easy because no electricity is required. When installing, connect the grapple open and grapple close hoses and the logic of the grapple hydraulic block takes care of the rest. To install an EC grapple, you need pressure and return lines and a control system, such as Moipu Control.
