Grotek - Model Black Pearl - Soil Enhancer for Agronomic Improvement
Black Pearl is a soil-building solution designed to enhance agricultural productivity. It primarily consists of 60% biochar derived from virgin wood fibers using an engineered pyrolytic process. This method ensures a highly porous material with an extensive surface area exceeding 700m²/g. The formulation includes volcanic rock dust, kelp, and low molecular weight humates, which contribute essential nutrients and improve soil structure. The product effectively enhances nutrient cycling, moisture retention, and supports microbial diversity in the soil. It is classified as a Class 1 product by the International Biochar Initiative. Black Pearl can be integrated into soil or soilless media, maximizing its efficacy when mixed into the root zone rather than applied as a top dressing. Approved by Ecocert Canada for organic agriculture, it is available in various sizes, making it adaptable for different scales of agricultural use.

Black Pearl™ is best applied during soil mixing or transplanting into soil and soilless media. Black Pearl can be used as a top dress, but will be more effective when incorporated into the medium/soil.
