Small bales of 15-20 kg are typically used for horses, transport of animals, etc., in places where the bale is handled by hand.

Large bales can be wrapped in plastic, but many are just delivered pressed with cords. The large bales are used for logistical reasons to reduce transport costs and are delivered to smaller farms and large poultry houses as they prepare for a new chicken house after slaughtering.
