Fully-Integrated System

The Platinum Series is an innovative combination of motorized sweep and u-trough unload that can be installed into an aeration floor. This provides a solution that is both higher capacity and higher powered than traditional unload/gear-driven sweep systems without the need for a tunnel. The Platinum is a cost-effective solution for operations that need more out of their unload/sweep but do not want to commit to a tunnel/conveyor system.

True Zero-Entry

The Platinum Series is a true zero-entry unload and clean-out solution. With its Above-Floor Collector Ring, Twin-Flight Sump and a one-time adjustment Carrier Wheel system, there is no need to enter the bin prior to operation.

Ul Listed Collector Ring

Norstar offers an industry-exclusive UL Listed Collector Ring (recognized in Canada as well as the US). The Collector Ring effectively prevents twisting of the sweep power cables as the sweep circles the bin, making it unnecessary to disconnect and untwist the cables during operation.

ABOVE-FLOOR COLLECTOR RING

The Platinum features an Above-Floor Collector Ring with Norstar`s UL Listed Collector Ring mounted on the sweep`s powerhead. This allows for true Zero-Entry operation with no cable twisting.

TWIN-FLIGHT CENTER SUMP

The Platinum Unload features Norstar`s Widemouth Center Sump with a new Twin-Flight design that allows for power cables to be run into the bin and to the Collector Ring from underneath the bin floor. The Twin-Flight design ensures that maximum capacity is maintained.

ACCESS PANELS

The Platinum Series features simple maintenance access for under-floor components. Access panels are built into the floor grates. Panels are located behind the center sump for access to the Twin-Flight chain and sprockets and power cabling. There are panels also located at the Emergency Sump for access to Twin-Flight Auger bearings.

EMERGENCY SUMP

The Platinum Series features a standard Emergency Sump designed to provide a backup option in case of plugging at the center sump. Simply open the Emergency Gate to continue to unload in situations where clumping grain becomes an issue.

U-TROUGH POWERHEAD

The Platinum`s Powerhead features a swing-open Belt Gaurd for easy service access. The quick-detach motor mount enables easy movement of the motor from one unit to another.

U-TROUGH RACK & PINION GATE CONTROLS

Open and close gates efficiently with Norstar`s crank system. Located at the Powerhead of the unit,  the Platinum Powerhead features three gate controls allow the operator to open the center gate, emergency gate and the intermediate sump gates independently.

MOTORIZED TRACTOR DRIVE

The Platinum Sweep`s Motorized Tractor Drive provides you with sustained traction and power with its dual foam tires and the ability to adjust the weight on the drive.

SUREGRIP WHEEL

The SureGrip is Norstar`s exclusive gear reduction wheel that provides increased sweep traction with its 18"  vulcanized rubber design. With a 16:1 gear reduction, the SureGrip ensures positive traction and forward movement of the sweep into the grain.

CARRIER WHEELS

The Norstar Platinum Express Bin Sweep features a pre-set carrier wheel system that provides stability to the sweep as it circles the grain bin. This system only requires one adjustment prior to first use, promoting a true zero-entry experience

ADJUSTABLE SWEEP MOTOR MOUNT

Acquiring the correct belt tension for your Platinum Express Sweep is as simple as raising and lowering the unit`s motor mount plate using its two set-screws.

SKELETONIZED FRAME

The Platinum`s Express Sweep features a skeletonized frame that is designed to allow the sweep to be completely wrapped by grain when buried, reducing load stress on the bin sweep and promoting long-lasting durability.

ADVANCED FLIGHTING

Norstar uses an innovative auger fighting that features a thicker outer edge that allows you to move up to 100 BPH more than traditional fighting. The thicker edge also increases the auger`s lifespan by over 50%.

STANDARD CONTROL PANEL

Norstar`s Standard Control Panel offers basic operation efficiency with the ability to engage/disengage the sweep and unload, forward and reverse as well as emergency stop functions for the sweep. The Panel features overloads for all motors and is able to control up to two sweep drives.

AUTO-DRIVE CONTROL PANEL

In addition to the features of the Standard Control Panel, Norstar`s Auto-Drive Panel monitors the sweep auger`s motor amps and will automatically move the sweep forward or backward accordingly

TRACK STRIPS & PARK PLATES

Protect the floor of your grain bin using Norstar Track Strips and Park Plates minimizing floor wear as the sweep circles the bin.
