Our extensive R&D has led to many breakthroughs, particularly in livestock weighing algorithms and electric fence pulse technology.

At Tru-Test Group we undertake our own product design and development. Through advanced manufacturing capabilities, Tru-Test Group has also emerged as one of New Zealand’s leading contract manufacturers, serving several organizations that are global leaders in their categories.

Our capabilities have enabled us to introduce significant technologies to help livestock producers and farmers improve efficiency and productivity. These include:

SUPERDAMP

A revolutionary damping algorithm that allows even the liveliest animals to be weighed at a rate of 500 per hour (sheep) or 150 per hour (cattle), while still ensuring the ultimate standards of accuracy. Superdamp is at the heart of the Tru-Test weigh scale range, and has been instrumental in making the Tru-Test XR3000 the world’s best selling animal weigh scale, renowned for its accuracy, durability and reliability.

MILK METERING

Focussed research and development led to the iconic Milk Meter head design - the centre of accuracy and reliability for which Tru-Test Milk Meters have been renowned for worldwide for over 45 years. This advanced technology and design enables the most precise and accurate milk sample to be taken during the milking process. This accuracy ensures reliability – the critical factor in proportional metering and the reason why Tru-Test Group has maintained an extensive global network of loyal customers. From Mechanical Milk Meter proportional metering and sampling, through to Electronic Milk Meters which push the boundaries of technology and set the standard for 100% traceability from farm to laboratory.

CYCLIC WAVE™ AND BI-POLAR ELECTRIC FENCE TECHNOLOGY

Tru-Test Group’s Cyclic Wave™ technology is used to create the best type of electric fence pulses that travel smoothly and efficiently along the fence wire right to the far ends of the farm with minimum energy loss providing maximum stopping power at all points of the fence. Energizers using Tru-Test Group’s Bi-Polar technology split the full energizer output power evenly over two groups of fence wire, halving the voltage stress on insulators, significantly reducing fire danger spark issues in dry conditions and insulator flash-over in wet and damp conditions. Bi-polar technology makes a remarkable difference to the stock management effectiveness of old or poorly maintained fences. Contact with a single wire provides an effective stock training message whereas a full two wire fence contact delivers the fully effective stopping power needed to contain a challenge from a powerful animal.

THE THREE-IN-ONE ENERGIZER

Tru-Test Group launched the Unigizer™, a three-in-one energizer that can be powered by mains, battery or solar power, providing the flexibility and versatility required for modern farming. This technology enables the energizer to be used as part of a permanent, portable or temporary installation, making it a leading energizer type.
