Design Services
Designing a new forwarder or a new harvester is a long and demanding process at the center of which we find the design office. It is he who manages the different phases and who brings together the multiple stakeholders, first and foremost our customers. The latter are included in the process with the aim of defining the machine that will best suit their needs.
A team of 4 people with several decades of experience in the forestry sector writes specifications, carries out feasibility studies and builds preliminary projects. Aided by high-performance CAD software, these mechanical engineers, electronics engineers and hydraulic engineers work in close collaboration with the design offices of our suppliers. They integrate the components, carry out structural calculations... with one and the same objective: to help you increase productivity thanks to robust, reliable and quality machines.
No low-cost part whose origin we cannot control is integrated into our machines. All the components: Cranab, Linde, NAF, Sauer Danfoss, etc. are assembled and integrated into very precise plans intended for the manufacture of a prototype.
Once built, we once again call on our customers to test the machine in real conditions of use. Nothing will be spared: neither the slope, nor the long skidding trails, nor the twisted wood. All its performances will be subject to rigorous measurements (yield/day, travel speed, diesel consumption, etc.).
It is down to the details that the dialogue with the reference customers responsible for the tests takes place. And it is only once the corrective actions have been carried out that the production of pre-series begins. Beforehand, our suppliers will have written installation review reports by which they will validate the integration of the components. They will thereby accept the coverage of the guarantees. Here ends this long-term work. It will have taken on average 10 months.
But the mission of the design office does not stop there.
Indeed, driven by evolving technologies, environmental constraints and business requirements, its teams are fully involved in a process of continuous improvement of all models placed on the market.
At any time, after-sales service, customers can engage in dialogue with engineers and technicians. It is from these exchanges that new solutions will arise. Provided that these do not involve a complete overhaul of the machine, they will be integrated immediately into the machines being assembled. As a general rule, these modifications concern non-binding points intended to facilitate maintenance, improve comfort, etc. Thus, user feedback can directly benefit future operators in a true spirit of cooperation.
This is the reason for the design office:
offer you machines that meet your operating conditions and machines at controlled prices to gain profitability.
