The Department of LIS takes care of the adequate proviosion of high-value centrally administered data and information for the purpose of complex interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary sytems research and modelling performed at ZALF, as well as of the effective knowledge transfer aimed at policymakers, researchers, and the general public.Most popular related searches

- Research data and information, tools and service are pooled for gaining subject and topic specific, central repositories.
- Quality, log term availability, relevance, security, cross linking and publication of central administered data and information are assured.
- Data-recall, navigation, presentation, processing, visualisation and analysis are facilitated.
- Open access to scientific information is promoted.
- Scientific collaboration is supported by setting up web based research platforms and websites.
