Yeast one-hybrid system (Y1H), a variant of the yeast two-hybrid system (Y2H), is a powerful and commonly used in vivo genetic assay for identification of protein-DNA interactions. Y1H is a gene-centered (DNA-to-protein) approach, which has the advantages of being simple and efficient and can detect protein-DNA interactions in vivo.
