Algae Scale-Up and Harvesting Timeline

Scaling up a 1250L photobioreactor with a 10-20L inoculum typically takes 2-5 days to full volume. Achieving desired harvest density usually adds 2-3 days, depending on algae growth rates. A standard aquaculture strain generally reaches inoculum density in ~7 days. We then push it for higher density. Once achieved, you can maintain a continuous or batch harvest cycle.
