Graham 4 Link Closing Force - Video

In partnership with Schaffert Manufacturing of Indionola, Nebraska, Graham is proud to offer our Graham 4 Link Closing Force. This active closing wheel system utilizes Schaffer's patented 4 Link parallel arm closing wheel attachments to offer unparalleled vertical travel (7-9') compared to typical 4' OEM vertical movement. This allows the closing wheel greater ground contact consistency. We then paired this advantage with active down pressure on each row. Our Graham Command Pro tablet in the cab utilizes load cells on each closing wheel to actively manage pressure on the closing wheel to further improve ground contact, minimize side wall compaction and maximize the consistency of each row's furrow closure. Graham 4 Link Force uses 12V electric actuators on each row to provide up to 125 pounds of down pressure and through the integration of our Torsion Control clamps, we also provide over 100 pounds of stored energy for necessary up-pressure or necessary adjustments through various soil conditions to maintain a smooth ride of the closing wheel. All of this robust functionality is controlled using our wireless communication protocol so each row has no control wires, air bags, or hydraulic hoses, only 12V power supply.
