HISTORY:

In 2008, Graham Electric Planter was founded in Sterling, Colorado. Jerry Graham needed variable-rate seeding for his Monosem twin-row planter. At the time, his son Toby was supporting professional drag racing teams with data acquisition systems. When discussing variable rate seeding for planters, they realized that a lot of the same principles Toby was applying for data acquisition systems for race cars could be applied to create a variable rate electric drive for planters. Through this initial project, Graham Electric Planter took hold and the first commercial units were sold in 2011.

In 2013, Graham debuted its first branded rate controller, GrahamCommand Lite, which integrated with the Graham Electric Drives to provide a branded solution for Rate control, Row Shut-off and individual manual input row population.

In January 2015, Toby Graham unexpectedly passed away from an undiagnosed deep brain aneurysm. While he is greatly missed, his enthusiasm for farming and passion for technology innovation remains. This same passion is what bring to new product development for products we bring to market. Each product we develop is built to specifically solve a farming need currently underserved or improve upon an existing precision farming technology to benefit our current customers as well as in the future.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

In 2012, the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) recognized Graham as one of the top fifty innovations of 2012 for our Electric Planter Drive.

In 2016, ASABE once again recognized Graham as a top 50 innovator for our Graham Command Pro product innovation.

In Fall 2016, Graham was awarded a Advanced Industry (AI) Grant by the State of Colorado. These difficult to obtain and prestigious grants are awarded to Companies that showcase unique technologies in a core Colorado Industry, ability to generate export sales, and grow jobs within the State of Colorado. Out of 119 applicants, Graham was one of only 6 Companies awarded an AI grant in 2016 and the only Company based in a rural county. We are proud to represent the State of Colorado and utilize the support of the AI Program to grow our business and help promote Colorado businesses and provide more jobs to our local community.

GLOBAL PRESENCE:

Since 2008, one of the greatest joys we have experienced is working with farmers around the globe to utilize our products to improve their own operations. Our products have been used in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Australia, Argentina, Turkey, Brazil, and Poland.
