How is Density Measured in the Photobioreactor (PBRs)

The density is measured through our relative density sensor, which linearizes the signal of the light attenuation through the algae culture. This gives us a 0 to 10 scale of response. Generally, every 0.1 is equivalent to about one million isochrysis per millilitre. However, each size of algal cell is different; that's why at Industrial Plankton, we use a relative scale.
