Premier Livestock Handling
Premier Livestock Handling Ltd was created by George Clark as a result of his own farming experience when he identified the need for a reliable cattle handling system that would enable him to work alone with greater safety and control. Initially George, like other farmers, had to work with what was available at the time and accept the limitations of these machines. The growth of the Unistock range continued with the addition of the Unistock Cattle Crate MK2, Unistock Mobile Cattle Crate, Unistock Forward Catch Cattle Headgate and the newly launched Unistock Squeeze Crate. It is now sold worldwide with units as far afield as India and Australia and is firmly established throughout the whole of the UK and Ireland. The Unistock Cattle Headgate is now used in over 60 UK Auction Marts as well as agricultural colleges and government research centres.

About Us
After some time, George started to experiment with different designs of his own, initially as a hobby, in order to make life easier and safer for himself. When a farmer neighbour visited and saw George working with his own equipment he asked if George could make another identical cattle crate for him. This eventually led to the beginning of Premier Livestock Handling Ltd with the first products launched being the original Unistock Cattle Headgate and the Unistock Cattle Crate MK1.
At its first showing, at the Royal Highland Show in 1992, the Unistock Cattle Headgate appealed instantly to the stockmen from the cattle lines and the farming visitors to the show. The Unistock range of products has since gone on to win multiple awards at major agricultural shows around the UK and is now recognised as a market leader within the farming community.
Premier Livestock Handling Ltd was bought over by Thorburn Group Limited in early 2022 and is now based in Station Works, Duns, where all equipment is manufactured in-house by the Thorburn Group team.
