Smart Farm - Polyethylene Mooring Buoys

Our mooring buoys are rotationally molded polyethylene (LLDPE) with a wall thickness of 8 mm. The buoys are filled with polyurethane foam, a closed cell foam competing out the cheaper polystyrene foam used in mooring or anchor buoys.

Smart-Farm - High Holding Power Anchors

We have good experience with anchors that need to stay in place when you need them to, and are easy to take up when it is time for it. Our SmartFarms are designed for flexibility!

Smart-Farm - Chains

Our chains come in many sizes and lengths. They are all Black tarred or Hot dipped galvanized. We feel confident in selling these products based on our own experience using them at Smart Farm installations world wide.

Smart Farm - Ropes

We aslo supply different tailor made products in rope. Our most common tailor made product are Pullropes used to tension the SmartUnit or SmartCageUnit. The Pullropes are fitted in the back of the anchor and makes it easy to pull back the anchor.

Smart Farm - Model SmartUnits - Mooring Systems

Since the pipe-buoyancy of the SmartUnits is calculated only for the biomass, i.e the mussels, and the system is designed to also absorb active forces of the sea, it needs mooring-buoys that are fixed on the anchor-ropes. The complete unit is designed so it only needs 2 shackles to connect into the mooring-system.
