The SmartUnit is net made of rope on which the bi-valves settle and grow. It is suited for growing full market size mussels or purely growing seed through the nursery face. The type of rope, its diameter and mesh size depends on expected species to farm and harvest as well as the environment, such as currents and available feed. Therefore we wok in close cooperation with you in order to design the SmartUnit that will bring your the best harvest.

The husbandry and harvesting machine is custom made, depending on the buoyancy pipe diameter chosen and the consequent possible draw depth of the SmartUnits. All machines come with two sets of brushes for cleaning and harvesting and a possibility to adjust distance to mesh or mussel cluster and speed of rotation of brushes and how fast you move over the smartline. Additional spare parts and accessories are available.

If you have a boat with capacity for the hydraulic powering, the crane, harvest and additional equipment, a simpler solution of the catamaran can help operate the harvesting machine. We call it the SmartScooter.
