CPM, drawing on worldwide experience has developed many material types and heat treatment processes which fall into two basic families. The first are the through hardened stainless steels which provide excellent toughness, life and corrosive resistance. The second are the case hardened alloy steels which are chosen for their superior toughness in heavy duty applications.
