Efficient mower with many new features that increase its utility value

The robust and service-friendly cutter bar from Italian manufacturer Comer operates in a sealed oil bath for minimal maintenance. The oval discs can be removed separately and serviced individually. Disc mowers are fitted with the new right- and left-turn blades, which cut the grass better. Combined with 2 cutter caps placed at the end of each side of the cutter bar, you even get a much better flow of the cut crop through the machine. Overall, it makes for faster and more efficient swath wilting.

The machine is driven by 4 or 6 v-belts (depending on the model). Strong springs in the suspension ensure that the cutter bar follows the terrain, resulting in a smoother cut. The frame for the plastic cover over the cutter bar is made in a hot-dip galvanised construction, which is much better at resisting the corrosion from the harsh, acidic grass sap. There's plenty of space above the bar and the heavy-duty safety cover helps create a vacuum that lifts the crop for a better, more even cut, with a standard stubble height of 7cm.

The disc mower is fitted with a strong 3-point suspension, which with a rolled 4-edge profile significantly increases the strength of the construction. The model is prepared for the installation of the hydraulic lifting system, which significantly increases efficiency, as the cutter bar can be raised by simply pulling a handle with direct access to the hydraulics on the disc mower, instead of having to raise the tractor's lifting arms, which is more time-consuming.

The mower works perfectly even at very high speeds and lies the swath in a width of about 60 cm narrower than the working width.

3-point suspension

The very strong 3-point suspension is rolled in a hollow profile, which provides both high strength and a simple beautiful design.

Load springs

The large load spring, located under the main frame, ensures that the machine follows the terrain in the best possible way when working with the machine. 

Fittings for the transport chain

The cutter bar is fitted with a perforated plate for mounting the transport chain, so the bar is locked during transport.

Swivel joint

The swivel joint between the cutter bar and the balancer arm is cast in the gearbox and fitted with nylon washers.

Cover

The heavy-duty tarpaulin cover ensures minimal ejection from the cutter bar during work and helps create a small vacuum to ensure the best possible flow across the bar. The cover is spring-loaded when folded.

Prepared for parallel lifting

The disc mower is prepared for retrofitting an hydraulic parallel lift, which can also be ordered for the machine from new (optional extra item no. 7134)

Gearbox

The solid gearbox on the cutter bar is made of cast iron and runs as a separate oil unit.

Hydraulic cylinder

The single-acting hydraulic cylinder ensures quick changeover for transport. The weight of the cutter bar brings the machine back into the working position.

Hydraulic parallel lift

The disc mower can be fitted with hydraulic parallel lifting, so you can quickly lift the machine up and down while working in the field, saving time. (optional extra item no. 7134)

V-belt guard

The impact-resistant plastic v-belt guard protects the belts from sunlight and unwanted foreign bodies.

Blade, right/left

The mower is fitted as standard with right/left turning blades, which help to lift the material and give a very fine cut at a height of 7 cm.

Cutter bar

The very solid cutter bar from Italian Comer runs in a sealed oil bath with the option to service the individual discs separately. The DM-3250 has 8 discs and extra reinforcement under the cutter bar.

Blade mounted

Each blade is fitted with a special bolt so that it can rotate freely on the disc. The nut is well protected by a small bowl.

Labels

The machine is fitted with clear yellow instruction and safety labels.

PTO hook

The 3-point suspension is fitted with a hook for the PTO axle when the machine is parked, which can be easily turned away while working with the machine.

Filling plug

The plug for filling the cutter bar with oil is between the second and third discs. This is the same level the oil should be at when the cutter bar is vertical.

Collision protection

The mower is fitted as standard with a collision protection system that is automatically activated when the bar is hit and turns the machine in behind the tractor.

Frame under the cover

The steel frame under the cover is hot-dip galvanised as standard, which ensures optimum protection for the machine against the grass sap and significantly extends its service life.

Belt tensioner

The galvanised belt tensioner is located on the outside of the v-belt guard, making it quick and easy to operate.

Service hole

The v-belt guard is fitted with a service hole, where the hatch can be easily opened to access the belts.

Disc with a cap

The cutter bar has 2 discs with a cap as standard, which ensures that the material comes in over the bar and folds the swath slightly, without affecting the flow over the cutter bar.

Disc

All the discs are made of moulded steel, which provides incredible strength, while the oval shape ensures a nice and even cut of the crop.

The hot-dip galvanised swath guard ensures that the material does not get in behind the tractor.

Wear shoe under the gearbox

The heavy-duty slide shoe mounted under the gearbox protects against stones and the like.

Lubrication nipple

The disc mower is fitted with many lubrication points, which are clearly marked with yellow labels.

Support legs

The support leg ensures stable parking of the machine. The support leg is pushed up while working with the machine so that it is always accessible.

Transport

The disc mower is hydraulically set in the transport position by tilting the cutter bar up to vertical position. Transport chain included.

Transport chain

The transport chain ensures that the cutter bar does not fall down during transport.

Wear shoe

There is a replaceable wear shoe under each disc, which protects against stones and other foreign objects. The wear shoe has a hole, so the blade can be replaced from this side too.

Transport lock

It is useful to lock the load spring on the main frame during transport via the small handle.
