WIDE-SLAB CAPACITY

the HD38’s huge throat with integrated patented auto-locking adjustable guide system turns out prize slabs up to 35” (89cm) wide. The 14” (36cm) clearance over the blade produces impressively deep cuts, oversized beams, and unparalleled output. Lastly, the HD38 comes with the Duradeck® Log Deck which is engineered from the ground up for heavy-duty assignments. Norwood’s patented Duradeck’s twin-laminated roll-formed high-strength galvanized steel rails with solid steel plate cross members are designed and built to handle extreme loads.

ADVANCED CUTTING TECHNOLOGY FOR ULTIMATE PRECISION

The HD38 has 4-axis micro-adjust guides that can be fine-tuned for optimally aligned blade support on the longitudinal axis as well as all 3 linear axes. Its Power Sawhead is equipped with standard power sawhead up-down functionality activated by a 2-way toggle switch, and for optimal control you can control the vertical speed with a dial integrated into the operator-station-mounted control panel. The ability to add a wireless remote-control power-feed and the IntelliSet® computer setworks makes it massively comfortable to operate.

The LumberMax HD38 comes ready for easy installation of our amazing Norwood hydraulics package, and with this option you can saw big logs with ease from day 1. Available comprehensive hydraulic attachments include log loader, chain drive log turner, log clamping and roller toe boards. Norwood’s HD38 empowers you with outstanding choices – including high-power hydraulics and leading-edge computer setworks and you get to choose when and how you add them.
