Newhouse - Potato Flail Shredder for Multi-Crop Applications
The Potato Flail Shredder by Newhouse is engineered to manage exceptionally challenging crop conditions, specifically designed for enhancing potato production. The robust design features a dynamically balanced rotor with a diameter of 10 ¾ inches and crafted with a ½ inch wall, ensuring its status as one of the strongest in the market. The rotor shafts, made from 2-3/16 inch alloy steel, contribute to the overall durability and strength. Contoured flails are meticulously arranged to accommodate various row spacings. The aerodynamic design of the cupped flails generates suction to efficiently lift and cut the material uniformly. Two designs are available for operators: dual tire or individual tire roller assemblies. Our unique flat tire roller assembly evenly distributes machine weight and compacts shredded vines over potatoes for added protection against environmental factors. Additionally, the machine is fitted with a rear tool bar extending beyond the side walls, allowing the tire roller to be wider than the inner housing. A front tool bar facilitates the integration of third-party attachments.
This multi-crop flail shredder handles extremely tough crop conditions and is ideal for potato production. The dynamically balanced rotor is 10 ¾” in diameter and features a ½” wall. Combined with 2-3/16” alloy steel rotor shafts, this rotor is the strongest in the industry.
Contoured flails are patterned to fit virtually any row spacing. The shape and speed of the cupped flails creates a suction that lifts the material into the rotor for a complete and uniform cut.
Operators have the option of two tire or individual tire rollers. The exclusive Newhouse tire roller assembly uses flat tires to evenly distribute the weight of the machine over the bed. It also packs the shredded vines over the potatoes, helping protect them from the elements. An added feature specific to the potato industry is a rear tool bar that extends past the side walls so the tire roller can be wider than the inner sides of the housing. A front tool bar is added to use third-party accessories.
