More recently, we have begun to stock Mammut’s silaging technology, again it is well made, innovative equipment and we believe there are real feed efficiency benefits that can be gained from products like the Silo Bucket.

Precise Cut For Optimum Feed
High-quality silage is essential for good milk yields and animal health. Careful silo extraction is also important for finely ground feed to prevent any impairment to quality. With the SILO BUCKET silage shear bucket, thanks to its smooth cutting blade and the ingenious geometry, a precise and compact cut can be achieved in the silo, preventing the accidental ingress of air during extraction from the bunker silo. This eliminates any possibility of heat building up at higher temperatures or even undesirable fermentation.
The welded cutting blade made of Hardox steel delivers many advantages. The geometry of the blade is an essential feature for the cutting characteristics. With the SILO BUCKET, the aggressively shaped, pointed tines enable the feed to be pierced right through precisely. Together with the ingenious bucket design of the silage shear bucket, the carrier vehicle only requires a low operating pressure to cut through and separate the block. The Hardox steel used for the cutter can cope with any level of strain and guarantees ultimate quality for many years.
The SILO BUCKET silage shear bucket was designed for the highest of operating loads and it combines design with functionality. The double-walled design of the base and the shear bucket prevent distortion during the loading process. Replaceable Hardox scraper strips are integrated in the underbody of the SILO BUCKET to protect the device from wear and tear. The powder-coated frame and the welded cutter made of Hardox steel help the silage shear bucket to retain its value for many years.
The Mammut Silo Bucket was designed for the highest of operating loads and it combines design with functionality. Generously proportioned pin diameters of 60 mm Ø as well as a wear-resistant plastic plate on the main mounting assure the machine a long service life.
Our range of Silage Buckets come as standard with a 3-year warranty period. This applies to the whole machine excluding wearing parts such as paint and hardox scraper bars across the bottom of the bucket.
