OPTIGÉP Machine Manufacturing and Trading Ltd. was formed in 1993, and is owned 100% by a group of natural individuals. Our scope of business is agricultural machine development, production and sale. The company has more than 140 employees. They have more years of experience in manufacturing and developing of our products. Primarily we develop and manufacture machines for sunflower and corn harvesting.

Our main product is the OptiSun sunflower header. Mainly due to the quality of our matured products we fully rule the Hungarian market with this product, on the other hand we emphasize more on the good and fast service as well as the reliable part supply.

We registered several patents during the development of our products. When developing the row crop headers to harvest sunflower we used the research and plough-land measuring experience of FVMMI GM Kht. (MGI-Gödöllő). We developed jointly the version with chopper that is a unique construction solution among the sunflower headers. The patented construction and vibrating catch pan of our sunflower headers makes possible having the header at a very low position. This way the loss of the sunflower harvest can be considerably reduced. Based on our experiences (and in comparison with other technologies) by saving the loss the price of a 6 row sunflower header will be returned after harvesting 250-300 hectares. This is true even more if there are bad harvesting conditions (plants leaning or infected by fungus).

Harvesting mechanism of our PSM type sunflower header is identical to OptiSun headers, meaning that it features all their beneficial properties. The low-built chopper offers further benefits for users. It performs the chopping of the stalk in one run with harvesting, and enables immediate tillage after the harvesting.

Our sunflower headers have already worked in Romania, Slovakia (where we are absolute leaders on the market), Moldova, Serbia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Austria, Russia, French, Canada and the United States of America.

The own developed, OptiCorn type corn header mounted with chopper requires minimal maintenance and suitable for harvesting the corn on the cob with big working speed and excellent quality. This product is also popular not only in Hungary but in Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Moldova, Russia and the USA.

The corn header called OptiCorn Premium made its debut at the end of 2015. Its unique drive system consists of gearboxes with aluminium houses. It is the result of a long-term development that was performed by the OPTIGÉP Kft. and the German GKN-Walterscheid GmbH. The tests were carried out not only in home circumstances. They were executed in the South African Republic, where the machines had to cope with a stock of 18-20 tonne/ha that is much larger then the domestic stock. There is no chain drive on the OptiCorn Premium header, everything is moved by gearboxes that ensure maintenance-free operation. The lateral drive is ensured via cardan shafts as well as bevel gears. The header has a shift gearbox, this way by the means of an arm, without any fitting the revolutions per minute of every unit can be reduced or increased - depending on the given stock - by +/- 5% compared to the factory default. At present this is a totally new solution on the market. The gathering worm is also driven by the means of a gearbox and Walterscheid safety clutches are built in on each row, as well as each snapping units are connected with Walterscheid cardan shafts, which increases the flexibility. Another significant new feature of this header and the whole header family that is their frame structure and 90 % of their parts were made by the use of stainless steel and aluminium. This way 20% of lighter weight is available compared to the traditional headers with steel frame. Use of such materials is advantageous not only in weight loss, but in better fuel consumption, reduction of soil damage and longer life. It has significant advantage in harvesting of waterlogged areas.

The quality of our products is controlled by ISO 9001 quality management system and guaranteed by periodic inspections of MGI Gödöllő.

All of our products signed by CE. For export to Russia we can provide (GOSZT-R and AEC) certificate.

The company owns all tools and machines that are needed for producing high quality products (CNC bending machine, lasercutter, CNC lathe, CNC machining center, generic lathes, millers, Argone protected welding machines, cutting blowpipes, pressing machines, etc.). They are developed and changed continously. The surface finish is performed by new electrostatic powder coating line. We use Solid Edge CAD program for designing our appliances.

Our position on the market is stable. Our products are well known in Hungary and all other surrounding countries. Our part supply is continous and flexible. Beyond the quality and reliability our feature is the flexibility and we meet the deadlines exactly.
