About us
Bamert Seed Company’s dedication to providing the best has allowed us to offer over 400 species of high quality native grasses, forbs, and legumes. Many of our native grasses, forbs, and legumes have been selected from regional USDA Plant Material Centers for their soil and climate adaption characteristics. Our seed has a wide variety of uses including reclamation, prairie restoration, pollinator habitat, DOT projects, conservation programs, wildlife habitat, and wildlife food plots. We produce around 90% of the seed we sell on our farms in the Texas panhandle. This allows us to have great confidence in our product, process, and people.
As the demand for high quality native seed has grown over the past several decades, Bamert Seed Company has adapted to better supply our expanding customer base. We offer a variety of native grasses, forbs, and legumes that are well suited for wildlife habitat and prairie restoration unlike some introduced species that may require special management. Our native seeds are well adapted to a region’s soil and climate; furthermore, thriving on the resources provided by the environment. Additionally, native plants have the ability to form symbiotic relationships with other species that exist in their ecosystem.
At Bamert Seed Company we produce approximately 90% of the seed that we sell. We currently offer over 300 different species of high quality native grasses, forbs, and legumes – many of which have local genetics gathered by numerous sources including (but not limited to): USDA Plant Material Centers, USDA-ARS, USDA-Forest Service, DOI-BLM, numerous state agencies, and several non-profit partnerships. Our seed is often used for reclamation, pasture & prairie restoration, wildlife & pollinator habitat, residential properties, conservation programs, DOT projects, and even biofuels.
