Blue Bird Industries Fabbrica Motori S.R.L
Blue Bird Industries was established in December 1978. The activity of the factory was the production of brushcutters and trimmers with 2-stroke internal combustion engines of its own design. The company’s first two engines featured 31 and 38 cm3 displacement and were installed on the Blue Bird brand brushcutters. The new machines were introduced with immediate success in the market, leading the company to invest in new moulds and equipment to expand the range of its own machinery.

About Us
The innovations that made us unique
A series of new engines was developed to complement the company’s leading product, the brushcutter, and utilized in various applications. Such was the birth of the first earth augers, motor pumps and hedge trimmers, as well as other products such as hoists and mini-bike engines. The dedication and constancy of the management combined with the skills and commitment of the personnel brought Blue Bird Industries into the rank of the leading European companies in the production and sale of gardening and light agricultural equipment in just few years.
During the 80s and 90s, the company continued adopting its dynamic and flexible approach and developed relationships with other companies in the sector, in this way beginning the sale of new products and selling its own machinery to important companies in Italy and abroad.
Blue Bird has been proposing for years an ample range of products that includes its own 2-stroke engines, bruschcutters, trimmers, hedge trimmers, motor pumps, earth augers, fruit-tree shakers, chainsaws, high-pressure cleaners, shedders, lawn-mowers, tractors, blowers/vacuums, transporters and a complete set of safe and useful accessories for those machines.
An efficient commercial and after-sale network
The excellent quality of the products proposed, efficient after-sale service and a solid and flexible commercial network have permitted ample distribution of the Blue Bird trademark all throughout Europe and in Asian and South American countries.
In order to keep the excellent quality of its products constant over the years and remain a point of reference in the European market, Blue Bird has continued investing in its human and technological resources.
Quality and certifications
The training, development and competence of the personnel led the company to obtain ISO 900/2000 certification in January 2003, which testifies its commitment to quality and the strength of its organization.
Growth and development of the company
Achieving this goal is considered as only the beginning, not the end, of the next step in the ongoing improvement of quality in the product and the company itself.
With the advent of new European regulations about engine exhaust emissions, Blue Bird designed and put into production a completely new range of environmentally-friendly engines, featuring 5 different displacements.
