Agapanthus africanus Getty White
Originating in South Africa, Agapanthus is now grown all over the world for its beautiful flowers. Commonly known as the Lily of the Nile, these tough plants are great for rock gardens, borders, containers, or mass planted. ‘Getty White’ has dense clusters of white flowers on erect 36cm (2-3ft) stems that rise above the evergreen foliage. The plant forms large clumps of bulbs that eventually produce multiple stems of flowers, the leaves form a rosette approximately 30cm (12in) tall. Agapanthus Getty White is a sparkling plant and is dazzling against a dark green backdrop, it is well adapted to direct sunshine or shade and thrive outside in the landscape or when planted in pots. They are terrific as cut flowers and are suited to both formal and modern style arrangements.
