Flowercare - Carnation Dianthus
Carnations are very sensitive to ethylene, which can cause major damage, like shrunken flowers, incomplete flowering and a short vase life. Ethylene is a volatile hormone, produced by the flower itself in order to regulate flowering. Ethylene in the surroundings of the flower, i.e. from exhaust gases. mature fruits or other flowers (e.q. airfreight transport together with roses) can also negatively influence the flower, since an excess of ethylene is the origin of the mentioned effects. These negative effects can be easily avoided by means of a post-harvest treatment with Flowercare carnation.
Flowercare carnation reduces the ethylene sensitivity of the flower, avoiding premature shrinking, petal drop and bud abscission induced by either internal or external ethylene.
Add 2 ml Flowercare carnation per liter water. Stir gently and use the solution for a maximum of 5 days. Note: always use clean tap water and clean buckets. Never mix an old solution with afresh one. Avoid any contact of the product and the ready-to-use solutions with
Place the freshly cut flowers in the solution for at least 4 hours. Depending on the water requirements of the flowers, shorter treatment times may be applied. Do not leave the flowers in the solution longer than 72 hours.
