At the time of its introduction in the early 1980`s, the concept of a concrete, cast in-situ, `drive-over` crop drying floor was regarded as revolutionary. However, over the last 29 years, the many benefits of such a system have become more widely appreciated throughout the industry, and an ever increasing number of farmers now specify the GFT Floor System when considering either a new drying floor or the conversion of an existing crop store, for its efficiency, durability and flexibility. The circular voids, with their unique `bellmouth entry`, are cast within the concrete floor to form a more durable crop drying floor, with even air distribution in void lengths of up to 60 feet (18.29 metres) on either side of the main air duct, for grain drying floors and ambient air ventilated potato stores.
